PR Specialist 

Full-time position (1 positions available)

Location: Fairfax, VA

  • - Conduct research and support in developing strategic plans and presentations;
  • - Maintain project trackers and documents for the project team and create campaign reports;
  • - Plans, develops, writes, edits before approval, and releases a variety of digital communication products including e-newsletters, newspaper articles, blogs, social media, web event updates, and other communication in support of LDRTC’s mission and marketing plan;
  • - Prepare and edit organizational correspondence in accordance with memorandums, briefings, electronic media, to ensure proper message is communicated;
  • - Manages LDRTC social media channels;
  • - Uses various software applications such as Microsoft Office, InDesign, Photoshop, and other tools used daily by the public relations team for a variety of marketing and communication tasks.
  • - Engage with external entities such as hospital partners and other organizations and ensure LDRTC is showcased appropriately in their communications efforts.
  • - Build relationships with new media contacts and maintain relationships with existing contacts;
  • - Interact with senior management and all departments to provide communication assistance.
  • - Draft press releases, pitches, case studies, white papers, and media summaries;
  • - Organize, schedule, and prepare key leaders for press interviews. 

 

Required experience/education:

At least 12 months of experience as a PR Specialist, Communications Analyst and all related. Minimum bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications and all related.
